The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service have formally extended the individual federal income tax filing due date to May 17th, 2021.
What this means to you:
- We must receive all outstanding documentation in our office by April 15, 2021 to process and submit your tax return by May 17, 2021.
- If documentation is NOT received by April 15, 2021 you could be placed on extension.
- If you owe a federal income tax payment for 2020, the payment due date is May 17, 2021.
- If we have already filed your tax return and you owe taxes, we cannot change the April 15th payment date that was already submitted.
Please refer to this blog post for important tax related required documentation.
Please contact our office should you have any questions, but allow 2 business days for our reply as we are currently fully focused on processing tax returns.
Thank you for your prompt attention and action. We look forward to supporting your tax needs now and in the future.
